The West Bank city of Tulkarem was transferred under the Palestinian security control on Tuesday opening the gates between the town and the West Bank.
The handover completed long peace prosses that shows willingness of the both sides to come to a truce after four years of bloodshed.
Earlier, Palestinians had to make a 4-mile loop to get to the main road that connects Tulkarem with Nablus, the biggest city in the West Bank.
Tulkarem is located on a line between Israel and Palestine. It is not the first city handed over to Palestine. Tulkarem, a city of 50,000 people, became the second transferred city out of five to come to Palestine.
