The Pope of Rome John Paul II sent «warm wishes» to the ailing Prince of Monaco Rainier on Sunday. Rainier’s condition remains serious, but stable, doctors say.
Monday’s bulletin said the health of the Prince is «worrying but remains stable.» The treatment has stopped deterioration of his kidneys, lungs and heart.
On Sunday, Prince underwent kidney dialysis, doctors said, on progressive deterioration of internal organs. "The cardiac, lung and kidney functions that did not stop deteriorating have stabilized. Rainier is conscious, but under sedation, which allows him to withstand respiratory assistance that is absolutely indispensable," was said in Sunday’s bulletin.
The Prince has three children, Princess Caroline, 48, Prince Albert, 47, and Princess Stephanie, 40, from movie star Grace Kelly who was killed in a car acident in 1982. Rainier and Grace married in 1956.
The three children visited their ailing father, media says.
