U.S. is still without exact strategy to pull out of Iraq, Rumsfeld reports

U.S. Defense Secretary Donald Rumsfeld reported today that the US is defenite neither with the strategy nor timetable for militant forces’ pull-out from Iraq. He said that everything depends on the Iraqi Security Forces’ readyness to help US in this operation.

``We don’t have an exit strategy, we have a victory strategy,’’ Rumsfeld said today during his visit to Baghdad.``The goal is to help the Iraqi Forces develop the skills and the capacity to provide their own security.’’

Rumsfeld plans to meet the Iraqi interim President Jalal Talabani and Prime Minister Ibrahim al- Jaafari in his today’s visit to Baghdad in an attempt to influence Iraqi officials in peace matter. He also pointed out that the new administration has to consider the further security improvements.

``It’s important the new government be attentive to the competence of the people in the ministries and that they avoid unnecessary turbulence,’’ Rumsfeld said.
