Will Bolton change his attitude to UNO?
(by Natali Novak)

Will Bolton change his attitude to UNO? The candidacy of John Bolton, who once said nothing would happen if 10 stories of the UNO building vanished, was strictly opposed by the Democrats before the approval by the Foreign Relations Committee.

Democrats received a final denial from Senate Foreign Relations Committee Chairman Richard Lugar on Monday after asking for more hearings about the candidacy of Mr. Bolton to represent the US in the United Nations. Democrats are not sure about Bolton’s ability to be an adequate representative for the United States after his 1994 statements that «there is no such thing as the United Nations».

Mr. Lugar stated that it is the right of the Presidetn to choose the representative to the UNO. He declined to comment on the possible results of the Foreign Relations Committee board meeting. "I’m not confident of anything except there will be a meeting at 2:15 p.m. Tomorrow," he said.

The Democrats said they would block the nomination by all possible means.
