Senate battle for Bush’s UN pick continues
(by Olivia Cohen)

The US Senate is in the middle of its opposition battle for the President George Bush’s choice to represent the US in the United Nations whereas John Bolton, the nominee, is the most contradictory person that has ever been appointed to such an important post, according to some officials.

The Democrats continue providing sometimes contradictory accusations as to Mr. Bolton who once said it would be nothing special if all ten stories of the UNO building simply vanished.

“I continue to believe that John Bolton would be a really great U.N. permanent representative," said Secretary of State Condoleezza Rice. She was supported by the counselor to President Bush Dan Bartlett who said Bolton is experienced enough to take the post.

The candidacy of Mr. Bolton is expected to be assumed during the Senate Foreign Relations Committee next month.
