Israeli soldiers killed a Palestinian at a military checkpoint on Monday. The Palestinian was shot dead near the West Bank town of Tulkarm.
The Palestinian was trying to stab a military and igmored warning shots several times, according to the military officials.
In March, the Israeli army turned over control of Tulkarm to Palestinian security forces with the right to maintain some road checkpoints.
Palestinian Authority President Mahmoud Abbas said Israel had to stop killing Palestinians at the checkpoints.
West Bank separation barrier may be extended by Israel as soon as by the end of May, Israeli officials said.
